You are the expert of your own story
Mother, grandmother, widow, therapist — I bring my whole self to this work.
I am someone who has lived many roles — mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, auntie and great-auntie, cousin, friend, mentor, and advocate. I've been both a wife and a widow. Each identity has offered me its own lesson in love, resilience, connection, loss, and the sacredness of being in community.
As a second-generation Croatian with Scottish roots, I carry a reverence for ancestry, community, and the natural world. I honor both the strengths we inherit from our lineage and the pain or patterns that call out for healing.
Today, I am a trauma-informed somatic and art psychotherapist. For nearly two decades, I walked alongside families impacted by trauma through field-based work across Los Angeles County — in homes, schools, and community spaces. My practice now includes in-person sessions in Altadena and telehealth throughout California.
An integrative toolkit drawn from somatic, creative, relational, and ancestral healing traditions — shaped around your unique needs.
Using creative expression to explore emotions, process experiences, and discover new insights through the therapeutic power of art-making.
A powerful technique that helps access and process trauma stored in the body through specific eye positions and mindful awareness.
Connecting with body wisdom and physical sensations to promote healing and emotional regulation.
Using visualization and imagination to access inner resources, reduce stress, and facilitate healing.
Exploring the language of symbols and metaphors to understand deeper meanings and patterns in life.
Helping you reshape your life story and express your authentic voice through various creative mediums.
Exploring family systems and ancestral patterns to understand and heal intergenerational trauma.
Gentle exercises that help the body release deep patterns of stress and trauma naturally.
Integrating spiritual practices and beliefs into the healing process for holistic wellness.
I take an integrative and systemic approach, honoring how ancestry, family, lineage, culture, and community shape a person's life. Therapy is a collaborative journey — we co-create a path to sustainable well-being at a pace that feels safe.
I approach the therapeutic relationship with curiosity, humility, and my own "thorns of experience," which have gifted me understanding and compassion. Healing trauma begins with building a foundation of safety. Through the mind-heart-body-brain connection, individuals can restore a sense of safety, improve self-esteem, and experience emotional relief.
Every session begins with grounding and attunement — building the relational safety that makes deeper healing possible.
Healing is not just cognitive — we work with the whole person, including the nervous system, body memory, and emotional intelligence.
I honor the ways your lineage, culture, and community have shaped your experience, and bring deep respect to that complexity.
We build practical skills for stress reduction, emotional regulation, and perspective — pathways toward lasting wholeness.
It takes courage to ask for support. I'm here to offer a welcoming space where you can feel relief, clarity, and the possibility of change — one step at a time.
Whether you are navigating stress, grief, or trauma, my approach focuses on fostering healing, self-awareness, and personal growth.
